While earning his degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Marty worked as a carpenter. After earning his Contractor's license in 1992 he finished his first major project; a three-home development in Berkeley, CA. His Berkeley based company began to grow by taking on small residential remodels additions. Now, Kaufman Construction’s portfolio includes a wide array of commercial, institutional, and residential projects.

With over 28 years of experience in Construction Management, Elisabeth holds the reins of Kaufman Construction’s Project Management Department. Elisabeth participates in the conceptual development of the project and oversees the organization, scheduling, and implementation of the job. She is responsible for developing, monitoring, updating and communicating the progress schedule and its periodic revisions with the owners, architects and all other pertinent personnel. She helps to organize and support the field superintendent by assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.

Elisabeth’s enthusiasm for exceptional design and practical functionality shows in her outstanding work ethic. Elisabeth manages contractual documentation and scheduling for the owners, architects and subcontractors on projects. She expedites design and budget decisions so that the collaborative efforts of all involved can accomplish the completion of projects that are on time and within budget. As an avid hiker and experienced SCUBA diver she is aware of the responsibility the building industry has on our environment. That is why she became a Certified Green Builder.

With his broad knowledge of building systems, John is committed to the challenge of providing quality projects with cost effective management. He works closely with all team members to provide a realistic schedule so that the project can run smoothly and on time. His extensive experience with city offices, inspectors, and engineers helps the KCI team to work efficiently in building a project. His love of restoring vintage Italian motorcycles is yet another example of John's attention to fine detail.

Over 28 years’ experience in the building industry from hands on work to Field Supervision

Mac was Employee of the Year for two years in a row working at Presley Homes, a Sub-Division of William H. Lion Homes before joining Kaufman Construction in 2004. He chose to work in the construction industry because he enjoys the challenges associated with putting together a well built and safe structure. Customer satisfaction, job site safety, and recycling responsibly are all important issues for Mac when completing a project. When he is not working to complete an assignment for KCI, Mac volunteers as a Captain for the Crockett Carquinez Fire Protection District.
